Public art is not just something to look at. Research shows shared experience with art increases empathy and gives people a reason to stop, talk, and belong to the place where they live.

That is the vision behind the Compassion Corridor: spaces where compassion can be seen, shared, and felt.

One of the pieces of public art which frames one end of The Compassion Corridor is the Lungs of Mother Earth. It was installed earlier this year surrounded by an eco-friendly, native pollinator meadow. Here is what the surrounding meadow looks like now with the piece of public art in the center.
