Our mission is to reactivate the schooling of refugee girls so that they can access all the benefits of a holistic education. Our program is designed specifically to equip recently arrived refugee girls with the academic and social knowledge and skills needed for successful study in a high school and beyond. Many of our students have experienced interruptions and gaps in their formal education and come with limited print literacy experiences. Some are newcomers to school and have had no formal educational experiences. GVP is a tuition-free school, which is funded by the generosity of donors. We are a registered 501(c)(3). ✨ It’s Match Day! ✨ Presented by our friends at
Starting at noon, every gift to the Welcome Walk is DOUBLED, until the match runs out. 🧡🩷
Around the world, more than 122 million girls are out of school. Behind that number are real girls with real dreams. Girls like Meh Sod.
She grew up behind the fences of a refugee camp in Thailand, and when she started at GVP, she was reading at a first grade level. Today she holds a Master’s in Education and came back to GVP as a teaching assistant to stand beside girls who are where she once was.
Every GVP student has it in her to become a teacher, nurse, engineer, or leader. All she needs is the chance. Will you double yours today?
