Decatur EDC

We were honored to welcome Cora to this month’s DEDC board meeting to share the story behind her beautiful artwork!

Her creativity, confidence, and courage to stand up and speak in front of the board were truly impressive, and she did a wonderful job. We are proud to have her artwork displayed in our office for the next year as a reminder of the incredible talent within Decatur ISD.

We also want to thank Decatur ISD for the strong partnerships they continue to build with businesses and organizations throughout our community. Opportunities like this make Decatur such a special place to live, learn, and grow.

Decatur EDC was honored this week to receive the “2026 Economic Development Excellence Award” from Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas! Of the many respected economic development organizations in WSNCT’s 14-county DFW region, DEDC was the organization selected for the award due to our innovation and partnerships improving workforce development in the Decatur area. We are humbled by this recognition and grateful to our partners for their hard work to help us continue our mission every day to drive positive economic activity in Decatur.

A big milestone for a great local partner! DEDC was honored to host the groundbreaking for Cardinal Paint & Powder as they begin their expansion. We’re lucky to have such a strong company invested in Decatur’s future.
