Palm Beach Adds About 600,000 Cubic Yards of Sand to Eroded CoastlineAlthough a federally backed Palm Beach Midtown Beach resanding project faced repeated stops and starts, multiple extensions and sea turtles coming ashore to lay eggs, workers wrapped up the project May 25. Fewer than two weeks ago, town hall staff had expressed concerns that the project did not have enough time to complete the resanding of the southern portion of beach, stretching from Gulfstream Road to Banyan Road in the Estate Section.
