CYCLE Houston

David joins CYCLE Houston for a second consecutive year as a Data Analytics Intern via the UHD Community Engagement Summer 2026 Internship Program through the UHD Center for Community Engagement & Service Learning, where he supports initiatives that improve student literacy and educational outcomes through data-driven decision-making.

As a Computer Science major at the University of Houston-Downtown, David brings experience in data analysis, visualization, and technology solutions. Throughout his internship, he has compiled and standardized literacy assessment data from school districts across the Greater Houston area, transforming complex datasets into interactive Tableau dashboards that help educators identify student growth and benchmark performance.

Serving as a Gator Success Institute Peer Mentor at UHD, David is committed to helping students navigate college life, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals while fostering a supportive campus community.

He is passionate about using technology and data to solve real-world problems and is excited to support CYCLE Houston’s mission of improving educational opportunities for students across the region.
