Connie Shin shares her powerful testimony regarding her father's death when she was 3 years old, the pain caused when no one in her family ever talked about it as she grew up, and the healing movements she initiated throughout her family and larger community when she decided to pay him tribute on her 32nd birthday- the age he was when he was killed- by walking the 32-mile perimeter of Manhattan. Everyone in the family has a place, everyone is included, and attempting to exclude anyone creates disorder in the family system. She also confronts the place of the killer in her life and in her family when she has to write a victim impact statement when the killer comes up for parole.
