Join us from 12-5 p.m. at Ebster Rec Center and the CSD green space for an afternoon of free family fun featuring live music, food trucks, bounce houses, games, and activities for all ages.

1-1:30 p.m. Line Dancing with KimEugene
2-2:30 p.m. Putt-Putt Challenge with The Green Office
3-4 p.m. Bicycling Basics with Nedra Deadwyler. Learn the rules of the road or brush up on your bike skills before heading out on Decatur’s streets.
4-5 p.m. Soccer Forward Fest

Plus, enjoy a free art station hosted by the F.A.N. Education Foundation, plenty of games, and a fun afternoon celebrating Parks & Recreation Month!

Now is the perfect time to plan your route and familiarize yourself with the safest way to get to school. Check out the Decatur Safe Routes to School map and make a plan before the first day of school.

Safe Routes to School is a national initiative that helps make walking and biking to school safer and part of everyday life. In Decatur, the program is led by Parks & Recreation with support from city staff, crossing guards, schools, and dedicated parent champions.

By choosing to walk, bike, or roll to school, we're helping students stay active, reducing traffic around our schools, improving air quality, and building a stronger, more connected community.
