Have you ever thought of your body as an orchestra?

DNA or genes are the sheet music, and proteins are the musicians. When they are in sync, you get harmony...and health. However, sometimes the sheet music contains an error, and the whole performance suffers. This is when disease can take the stage.

RNA interference, or RNAi, which is an approach to gene silencing, acts like a conductor, helping regulate gene activity to treat disease.

Work continues on the $250M expansion of our Norton, Massachusetts biomanufacturing facility. To mark our exciting progress, Alnylam employees and representatives of our construction and engineering partners Commodore Builders and CRB recently signed their names to a structural beam that was lifted into position.

Our Norton facility is at the center of Alnylam's global RNAi therapeutics manufacturing operations. It's also where we're continuing to innovate in the manufacturing of RNAi therapeutics by building out new capacity and siRNA enzymatic ligation capabilities.
