We were proud to show up for ROW For a Change in support of our incredible partner, CARE Healing Center - formerly RCIS of Carroll County

While we completed 2 hours of the 24-hour challenge, our presence represents something bigger. As a Survivor Center agency, it’s important that we consistently stand alongside our sister organizations in the community. When we show up for each other, we ensure that the work never stops — that survivors continue to receive the advocacy, healing, and support they deserve.

Community partnership isn’t optional — it’s essential. Together, we are stronger. Together, we keep the mission moving forward.

Domestic violence is not something that happens “somewhere else.”
It’s happening here. In Carroll County. In our neighborhoods. In our schools. In homes that look just like yours.

Every day, our team answers the call.

This year alone:
• We provided safe shelter to 130 individuals and their children
• We gave over 3,400 bed nights to families fleeing violence, often going beyond our capacity to assure everyone in danger is safe
• Our staff answered nearly 600 hotline calls from people searching for safety, guidance, and hope

These are not just numbers.
They are mothers. Fathers. Children. Friends. Coworkers.

They are people who deserve a life that is Safe. Stable. Free from fear.

Domestic violence is a real and urgent problem in Carroll County — but so is hope.

Events like Inked With Hope allow us to continue showing up every single day for survivors and their children. They allow us to answer that hotline at 2 a.m. They allow us to provide a warm bed, a safe place, and the first step toward healing.
