🎵 Flamingo Cantina turns 35 this Halloween! 🦩

Celebrate this huge milestone with Flamingo Cantina Cantina at their big party on October 31, or enjoy a few weeks of anniversary fun!

Angela Tharp, who opened Flamingo Cantina, made her dream of creating a business where music and culture could thrive come true after years working in real estate. She's kept that vision alive since 1991!

Flamingo Cantina’s mission is to celebrate and advance musical culture by giving artists from all walks of life a stage and giving audiences a place to feel connected, inspired and at home.

Thank you for being here! Congratulations! 🥳

The Downtown Austin Alliance has unveiled a new look and renewed mission for the Downtown Austin Foundation, our 501(c)(3) philanthropic arm. The Foundation is how companies, individuals and philanthropic partners invest in what makes downtown feel like Austin.

For years, the Foundation has helped fund live music, public art and the parks and green spaces where the city comes together. Its refreshed identity reflects where downtown is headed, with three priorities:

Arts & Culture
Parks & Green Spaces
Small Business & Economic Vitality

Downtown is in its biggest evolution yet. Investing now keeps it vibrant, welcoming and full of life.

Between articles, posts, TDLR permits and good old-fashioned walking around downtown, we anticipate several new businesses opening soon!

Timelines are almost always pending, so we have left it vague, but here are some new spots to look forward to.
