Govstack

Ann Arbor, Michigan, needed a new content management system to replace its outdated SharePoint platform. With over 200 decentralized web editors, the city required a solution that was intuitive, flexible, and scalable for users with varying technical skills.

After a thorough evaluation, the city selected Govstack for its user-friendly interface, modern features, and ability to support ongoing optimization efforts. The platform allowed editors to preview content before publishing, integrate with third-party tools, and use responsive design without needing advanced coding skills.

To support adoption, the city communications team was provided training and access to Govstack’s learning center. The transition was smooth, and editors quickly adapted to the new system.

Govstack delivered:

✅ Easier content management for all skill levels
✅ Modern design features like tile layouts and accordion menus
✅ Better integration with external tools and services
✅ Streamlined workflows and improved operational efficiency
✅ Flexibility for ongoing accessibility improvements

The City of Mt. Vernon, Illinois needed a better way to communicate with residents. Their old website was slow to update, hard to manage, and relied on third-party help for even basic changes. Timely alerts like boil water notices were difficult to post, putting public safety at risk.

After discovering Govstack at the Illinois Municipal League conference, the city chose it as their new platform. Govstack offered a streamlined solution tailored to municipal needs, with tools like Form Builder, Calendar, and a powerful CMS.

The implementation process went smoothly, even with initial hosting challenges. GHD Digital’s support team helped ensure a successful transition.
