DJC is definitely one of the main pioneers of the urban music movement in Australia.. he was onto it way before the others got onto it.. You can say that where RUN DMC was to music back then is where DJC was.. then all the Vanilla Ice's emerge and follow.. so its a pretty profound thing... also as many others have come an gone C is still at it.. despite health and other illness over the years.. so have to give a 12/10 on being a true pioneer.. a true michael angelo of the music scene.. just loves to play and do and is a passion... also i remember his mixing and music style was out of this world back then.. the formatting, mixing, cutting techniques used to have others watching him play for hours.. you got to understand back then it was to large rooms and crowds of some 2500 people!! not tiny bars of 100 or so people.. so if you played one song wrong some 500 people would leave in these big rooms!.. telling you it was a MAJOR feat.. and that too strictly vinyl.. it was such an expensive pursuit back then... i guess you can say what Dr Dre has been for hip hop DJC was for the urban movement in Australia... all your main D.Js in urban you name em, even former DMC champions in oz have been through, inspired, started off, doctrinated or fostered by DJC..
