One week on from the 12th Kinematic Kristmas Show, we're still basking in the glow of an awesome afternoon of music and community at the Edinburgh Castle, where we and a bunch of generous local artists got together to raise money for the Anna Wearne Trust to continue their work helping young people in need.

The vibe in the room was more than we could have hoped for and another example of Melbourne's music community always stepping up despite facing many challenges of its own.

We're chuffed to say that donations topped $1K, which combined with our perfomance fee, will go a long way to providing the type of small grants Julie from the trust spoke so passionately about on the day. If you are one of those donors, thanks so much!

We'll be sharing some performances from the show in the lead up to Christmas. This one is Better Place from Gerard Daley, probably one the most fitting songs of the day, not only because of its sentiment but because both Ryan Sterling (harp) and Mark Sinton (keys) jumped in last minute to really turn it into something special.

And a big thanks to Gerard – for the performance and the footage!

You can still donate to the Anna Wearne Trust at https://www.annawearnetrust.au/how-to-donate

A pleasure to play at the opening of Jaco’s new pub! Who doesn’t want a mate who owns a pub? If you’re in the Kiewa Valley, drop into the Dederang Hotel for a beer - it’s an awesome spot. Look out for us on Jaco’s new show next year: Oops, I Bought a Pub. Thanks for having us mate.

We’re alive and on the way to another show at the Dederang Hotel. Almost feel like a proper band!
