MARONDERA DISTRICT INTENSIFIES AWARENESS ON VELDT FIRES.
With the fire season fast approaching Marondera RDC, EMA, the Forestry Commission and concerned stakeholders have intensified efforts to raise awareness amongst commercial, resettlement and rural farming communities. The district is resorting to bulk sms, fliers, social media, MRDC website, awareness meetings, fire prevention and fighting demonstrations.
On Wednesday the District fire committee conducted an awareness meeting at Karimba Primary School. Key messages were on pre- suppression, spression and post-suppression measures in cases of veldt fires. The team assisted to reconstitute the local fire fighting teams and checked on overall readiness for the fire season.

⚽ Promoting Wellness Through Sport at 🇿🇼
In line with the National Wellness Policy, Marondera Rural District Council staff spent this Wednesday afternoon engaging in sporting activities at Grasslands to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and overall wellbeing. Through sport and wellness initiatives, we continue to build a healthier workforce for improved service delivery to our communities.
