God Has a Job For You

1 Peter 2:9: But you are his chosen people, the King’s priests. You are a holy nation, people who belong to God. He chose you to tell about the wonderful things he has done. He brought you out of the darkness of sin into his wonderful light.

One of the things that many people struggle with is a lack of purpose – this sense that life is heading nowhere. And that’s true even of people who profess a faith in Jesus, the Saviour of the world.

There are degrees to which we each struggle with purposelessness. I’m a driven individual with a clear sense of God’s calling in my life. But even with all that, thoughts of doubt can creep in. Am I really making a difference? What does it all mean anyway? You know the sort of thing.

And then there are those who feel like a cork tossed around on a stormy sea with no land in sight. Purpose? Man, I’m barely surviving!

Wherever you’re at, having a firm handle on your purpose makes your faith in Jesus real. It puts fuel in your tanks and switches the afterburners on, amen?!

So, in case you’re in any doubt, here it is – His purpose for you:

I don’t know what your specific gifting is or what doors God may have opened for you to exercise them. What I do know is that if you believe in Jesus, you’re special. If you trust in Him, you’re holy, one of His priests, one of His mediators, brought out of the darkness of your sin into His wonderful light, in order to … tell about the wonderful things He has done.

So go tell the world. That’s your purpose.

And that’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

Isaiah 43:1-7,15-20
[1]But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.
[2]When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.
[3]For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
[4]Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.
[5]Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west;
[6]I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth—
[7]Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”
[15]I am the Lord, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King.”
[16]Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters,
[17]Who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):
[18]“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.
[19]Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
[20]The beast of the field will honor Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen.

2018 is the year for Tukvan Investments, Psalms 20, "May the Lord answer you when you are in distress, may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. May he remember all your sacrificies and accept your burnt offerings. May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed." I can't doubt his word.

When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy one of Israel, your saviour
Vs 18, "Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing, now it springs up, do you not perceive it........"
The Lord answers my prayers and the Lord has made a way in the desert.
