The Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum (the Forum) is a coalition of twenty-two human rights NGOs in Zimbabwe. Its mission is to reduce organized violence and torture, cruel inhuman and degrading treatment; to challenge impunity and to foster a culture and the building of institutions of non-violence, tolerance and the respect for human rights in Zimbabwe.

Today, the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum joins the world in celebrating the incredible resilience and achievements of Zimbabwean women. 🌸 But as we celebrate, we must also confront a sobering reality.

📉 A deteriorating economic environment.
⚖️ Precarious legal protections.
🚫 Structural barriers to leadership and safety.

Of particular concern: The proposed Constitution Amendment (No. 3) Bill threatens to weaken the Zimbabwe Gender Commission. We cannot afford to lose the independence of the very institutions meant to protect us. 🛡️
