THE RIGHT ATTITUDE IN A SEASON OF WAITING
4️⃣ Do Not Grow Weary — Do Everything As Unto the LORD
Galatians 6:9 says, “Do not be tired of doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up.”
Some of us ask GOD for a new job, but while waiting, we become lazy at the current one. We come late, we gossip about the boss, we do half the work because “this company doesn’t pay me enough anyway.” But remember, GOD sees your heart. He knows your boss is unfair, He knows your situation, but He wants to see if you will stay faithful while you wait for promotion.
Joseph served faithfully even in prison. David served Saul with respect, even when Saul was evil to him. Daniel served under kings who didn’t love GOD, but he worked well as unto the LORD.
Do your work with excellence, even if your boss is bad. Do that small business faithfully, even if profit is low. GOD is watching how you handle the small things while you wait for the bigger ones.
THE RIGHT ATTITUDE IN A SEASON OF WAITING
1️⃣ Remain Prayerful
Luke 18:1 says we must always pray and not give up. When you stop praying, your faith grows weak. Prayer keeps your hope alive.
Look at Hannah — she kept praying for a child even when people laughed at her. She did not go around gossiping about her husband’s other wife. She took her tears to GOD, not to the streets.
In our own lives, some people lose the promise because they stop praying. You pray for a thing, but when it delays, you stop praying and start complaining — “maybe GOD forgot me.” Some mothers stop praying for a child who is on drugs — they give up and say, “he will never change.” Some people pray for a job but when months pass, they stop praying and just sit hopeless.
Keep praying. Pray when you feel strong. Pray when you feel weak. GOD hears every word, even when it takes time.
Stay Inside The Fence
..4) Stay Inside — Even When It Feels Hard
If the Bible or your pastor says, “Don’t go there,” don’t say he is old-fashioned. He sees what you can’t see.
If your parents say, “Don’t hang out with that person,” listen.
If the Bible says, “Flee sexual immorality,” flee.
It is not to kill your fun. It is to save your future.
