April was an absolutely incredible month for adoptions. We cannot believe how many of our gorgeous kittens were chosen and now have their forever homes. We thank each and every one of the families who chose them. There are always kittens needing help and we are not the only organisation that have rescues. Please opt to adopt an adult, teen or kitten who really need your love and care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for opening up yours 😻🥰

This weeks’ TNR & Sterilisations:

An unexpectedly busy week this week as Katie returned to a trapping job we did in March to find out if any of the kittens from the 4 lactating females we TNR’d had survived. 11 kittens were trapped - as you can see from the photos not all of them are healthy - so we decided to keep back 5 of the ones in the worst condition to feed up and hopefully, with your help, find working homes for - all of them were sterilised and given antibiotics.

Katie also TNR’d a colony of 5 from Meyrick Park - 2 males and 3 females one of which was lactating.

Lorna TNR’d a young family from Colne Valley- a mum and her 3 kittens as well as a male from Greendale. The team also assisted 2 owners this week sterilise their 4 cats - 2 males and 2 females.

Total sterilised this week was 25 bringing our total to date to 3,652

Winter is well on its way. Remember your lil kitties feel the cold too. Provide them with cosy fluffy blankets or a cat bed to help keep them toasty and warm during cold winter days & nights.

This weeks’ TNR & Sterilisations :

A very busy week to end April, Katie TNR’d a male from Emerald hill and a young female from Monavale. She also TNR’d a family of 5 from one property in Avondale, and at another property also in Avondale she TNR’d a mum and 2 kittens. This mum cat was extremely cautious and Katie had been trying to trap her for 2 weeks. And she wasn’t the only one being difficult - another female in Alex Park was evading traps for almost 3 weeks but finally after a few sneaky tactics Katie won! We cannot describe the relief and happiness when we see a female in one of our traps, even more so when this female has been trying to outwit us every step of the way. I guess it shows how much we care about what we do as well as how much it means for those females - their lives changing drastically for the better.

Lorna TNR’d a mum cat and her 3 older kittens across 2 properties in Colne Valley. The mum had another litter of 4 six week old kittens - the client was concerned as the kittens were becoming quite bold and her dogs were also becoming more curious. Lorna decided it was in their best interest to be uplifted into our foster system. This transition period can be quite difficult for kittens, a change in everything they have ever known - but it takes patience and understanding to get them over the hump. We are relieved we have ended the cycle for this colony and that mum cat in particular.

The team also assisted a business to neuter a cat that chose them to be his home. This brings our total sterilised this week to 16 cats and our total to date to 3,627
