She then told me she was mercy’s twin sister “Mary” and upon hearing my story she started crying, only to find out that mercy died 3years ago in a car accident...

The news of mercy’s death came as a surprise to me, how can someone who died three years ago appear in my school and be learning with us for two good years 🤔?
So I sat on a stone that was beside the road to process well.
I was still processing the information when I saw Mary smiling, I was shocked seeing her smiling after crying for her sister just some minutes ago so I stood from the stone I was sitting and went near her, she was smiling with tears dropping from her eyes .

So I asked why she was smiling and she told me finally her sister’s dream has come to pass and she will Rest In Peace now, I didn’t understand any of what she said so I told her to shed more light to what she had said and she told me of how mercy died and her childhood story .

Mary narrating
“It was a time when my mom and your mom where admitted in the same hospital ward some years back mercy and I were 3 and you were 4 I think, so every time we visited the hospital we could meet and that’s how mercy knew you, from then she liked you, but I think you were way too young so You could have forgotten about knowing her, for her she never did she always wanted to meet you and talk to you again, unfortunately from that time till three years ago she never head or learnt on where you were. After she found out that you were in Kabwe she wanted so bad to come and meet you so she told everyone home that she was traveling to Kabwe to come and meet you. Not knowing she was never going to come back again 😞to chingola, that same day she started off from home with her driver but unfortunately they were involved in a car accident and no one survived.”

Tears dropped from my eyes as I head this story and I thought to myself so she died because of me😞, but I was still not making sense of what was going on so I decided to show Mary pictures we took with mercy and when I opened my gallery she wasn’t on any of the pictures we took together so I was surprised I tried calling my friend from school to ask for any pictures he took where mercy was there. And his response was off, he was like “chimuka you haven’t stopped being mad with this your imaginary girlfriend, we always tell you to stop w**d and you don’t listen.”
I looked at my phone in surprise and In my mind I was like imaginary friend how ? Since when ? Am I going insane or what ? I thought mercy was real how did she become my imaginary friend? we used to talk about her with my friends every time in class what was happening…TBC
