Today we commemorate International Women’s Day under the theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”
Through this theme, we are reminded that gender equality requires more than commitments, it requires real action.
Women and girls must be able to live free from violence and harmful practices, access sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and participate meaningfully in leadership and decision-making.
As we approach election period, it is also critical that women can participate safely and fully in our democracy, free from intimidation and violence.
Today we celebrate the resilience and leadership of women and girls everywhere and recommit to advancing rights, justice and action for all.
