𝟱 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶-𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀

5 Zambian startups have been named among the 20 semi-finalists in the prestigious MEST Africa Challenge (MAC) 2025, spotlighting Zambia’s growing influence in Africa’s FinTech innovation space.

Now in its 7th edition, the competition themed “You Build, We Scale” connects emerging ventures with global investors, mentors, and partners through MEST Africa’s partnership with Absa. This year’s cohort showcases high-impact solutions in next-generation payments, smart lending, agri-fintech, and sustainable finance across eight Absa markets, including Zambia.

Representing Zambia are:

- eBusaka Green Technology Limited – a FinTech-powered waste-to-value startup digitizing payments and recycling incentives.

- KreativBox Technology – a digital lending platform offering salary-backed loans to civil servants.

- Mighty Fin Solution Inc. – an SME-focused lender providing embedded digital loans, especially to women entrepreneurs.

- Devdraft AI – a cross-border payments platform for freelancers and businesses using stablecoin wallets.

- Homer Price Agency Solutions Limited – a digital banking provider with over 550 active agents nationwide.

These Zambian innovators join peers from across the continent in reimagining finance for Africans, blending technology with real-world impact.

The semi-finalists will pitch virtually this week, with the top 10 advancing to the Final Demo Day in Cape Town on November 26, 2025, where the winner will walk away with USD $50,000 in equity investment and access to MEST’s global network.

Since its inception, MEST Africa has supported over 2,000 entrepreneurs and invested in more than 90 startups — and this year’s Zambian presence is a strong reminder that the country’s FinTech ecosystem continues to rise on the continental stage.
