Scott Nzima Gasela or as he is better known by his stage name “Scott Blue” is a 21 year old, Zambian Artist who has always been fond of the arts whether it be poetry, drawing, writing, or making music. Scott has always tried to merge his love for the arts into all of his artwork he does this by creating his own cover arts, infusing poetic lyricism with his love for story telling. He has officially
been active on the rap scene from 2015 with the release of his first single “Writers Block” which featured on his first mixtape “The Colour Blue Vol.1(2016)” which was released under the stage name “conScience”this name was short lived as he would layer change his name to Scott Blue to give the listeners a more personal connection by using his first name, blue was taken up after his love of the famous genre blues which is what he felt like his music was an honest raw depiction of life through a young man's eyes. He released his first mixtape under the name Scott Blue in December of 2017 titled “Blue Stories ”it was a 12 track project that would begining of a young visionary. In march 2018 he wasted no time and dropped “The Color Blue Vol. 2” an 8 track lo-fi EP,then in August of the same year he released “Society Killed The Teenager” a 12 track project which saw him dive more into his alternative sound by challenging his listeners with his bold experiments over boombap, jazz, lofi, trap, and indie rock infused instrumentals Scott had always seen himself to be a genre defying artist one who would rap over anything because he believed he could find his rhythm and still connect to the listeners. This was more prominent in his latest project “PNK_Trip”, which is a 14 track project, that tackled many uncommon issues in the genre most especially in his home town of Lusaka, his songs dove into introspective tales of feeling alone, empathetic nature towards girls with loose morals, relationship ups and downs, local injustices, common prejudices against young artists to say the least. Scott Blue sees himself to be a genre defying artist who has never been afraid to break the rules from time to time and leave himself open and exposed to the listeners allowing them to grow with him on his journey. In late November 2019 he released a 7 track EP titled "RELAPSE EP", it was titled relapse because each song in the project represented the feeling of going back, after dealing with going on a long and unexpected break from music "RELAPSE EP", sees the artist going back to his artistic ways and dealing the circumstances that come with his choice. And later in December 2019,he released "Blue Stories Vol. 2" which was a collection of unreleased singles.
