The ACA primarily works in constituencies as opposed to districts and provinces. By adopting the constituency as a microcosm of the nation, we able to target all our efforts at the local level with the aim of drawing lessons that we use to advocate for change in the way public resources are managed nationally.

"This is my first time sitting in a meeting with representatives from the council and discussing development challenges from my village, in Sashi. Growing up, we did not have these platforms. I want to urge these younger girls to be more involved in these conversations from now on."
Through our Rural Equity project being implemented in Chifunabuli and Milenge districts under the LIFT-Zambia Programme, we are creating meaningful platforms for citizens, especially women, to strengthen their understanding of social accountability and the rights-based approach to governance.
This activity was implemented under the LIFT-Zambia Programme, a five-year development partnership led by Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and Dan Church Aid (DCA) under the JCP Zambia Zambia, with support from NORAD and DANIDA.
