INITIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION
If you are interested in becoming a CONVENTUAL FRANCISCAN FRIAR,here are some of the initial requirements for application into the programme of formation:
* You must be a baptized Catholic.
* You must be at least 16 years old.
* You must never have been married or have any children .
* You must have a reference from your parish priest or chaplain,parish council and from your school.
* You must have a check-up from a doctor stating that you are mentally and physically a healthy person (this will be done at Franciscan Formation House upon your arrival).
* You must have a written permission from your parents or guardians.
* You must have completed Grade 12 in education.Whether the candidate is aspiring to brotherhood or priesthood,academically,he must accumulate an aggregate of NOT more than 28 points in the 6 subjects and with either a Distinction or Merit in ENGLISH.
* However , if the candidate fails to obtain the required standards the Vocation Director puts him automatically on the waiting list so as to give him enough time to re-write the subjects in which he did not do well.
* I, THEREFORE, ASK YOU TO STUDY EXTRA-HARD SO THAT YOU MEET THE PREREQUISITE FOR THE FORMATION HOUSE ENTRANCE...
