Awareness Campaign in Kabwe

Vandalism Free Initiative Chairperson, Adrian Hamainza, has intensified efforts to sensitize schools and surrounding communities on the importance of protecting both public and private property.

Speaking in Kabwe, Central Province, at Kasanda Malombe Secondary School, Mr. Hamainza stressed the need for citizens—especially young people—to take responsibility for safeguarding government infrastructure. He noted that the recent increase in Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocations presents a significant opportunity for community development, which must not be undermined by acts of vandalism.

He further announced that the Initiative plans to visit four schools within the next month targeting at least one school per week. The visits are aimed at educating learners about the consequences of vandalism and empowering them to become champions of infrastructure protection in their communities.

Meanwhile, Kasanda Malombe Secondary School Head Girl, Annie Chime, has commended the Vandalism Free Initiative for its positive impact. She said the campaign has played a key role in preventing property damage at the school and promoting a more conducive learning environment.

Ms. Chime encouraged fellow learners and community members to support the initiative, emphasizing that preserving public infrastructure is essential for sustainable development and the benefit of future generations.
