The Brave Cat and the River Rescue
In a quiet village surrounded by green hills and flowing rivers, lived a clever little cat named Milo. Milo was known for his curious whiskers and soft gray fur. He spent his days lounging on rooftops, watching the world go by, and sometimes chasing butterflies.
Just across the street lived a playful dog named Buddy. He was big, clumsy, and loved everyone—even Milo, who usually pretended not to care.
One hot afternoon, Buddy was chasing a squirrel when he wandered too close to the edge of the village river. The current was stronger than it looked. In one slippery moment, Buddy lost his footing and fell in.
He barked and paddled frantically, but the water was fast and deep. The current dragged him away from the bank. He was scared. Really scared.
Milo, sunbathing on a nearby fence, heard the splashing and barking. His ears twitched. He jumped up, scanned the river—and saw Buddy struggling!
Without hesitation, Milo raced along the fence, then darted down the hill toward the riverbank. He spotted an old rope tied to a post. With quick paws and sharp teeth, he bit through the knot and dragged the rope toward the edge. It wasn’t easy for a small cat, but Milo was determined.
He meowed loudly, hoping someone would come. A farmer working nearby heard the noise and rushed over. He saw the rope, the barking dog, and the brave little cat trying to help.
"Good thinking, Milo!" the farmer shouted, tying the rope around a strong tree and tossing the end toward Buddy.
Buddy grabbed the rope with his mouth. The farmer pulled—and with Milo circling and meowing anxiously—he hauled the soaked dog to safety.
Buddy lay on the ground, coughing and wagging his tail, while Milo simply sat beside him, licking his paw like nothing had happened.
From that day on, the villagers often said, "Never underestimate a cat with a big heart."
And as for Milo and Buddy? They became the best of friends, always seen side by side—one cautious and clever, the other cheerful and clumsy. And every time they passed the river, Buddy gave Milo a grateful bark…

The Donkey's Sunday Best

It was a sunny Sunday morning, and Daisy the donkey woke up feeling particularly devout. She put on her favorite bow tie and headed to the local church, where she had become a regular attendee.

As she walked in, the congregation couldn't help but smile at the sight of the donkey in her Sunday best. Daisy took her spot in the back pew and joined in the hymns, her braying voice blending in with the choir.

The pastor, noticing Daisy's presence, smiled and said, "And welcome, dear Daisy! We're glad to have you with us today."

After the service, the congregation gathered outside, and Daisy was surrounded by children who wanted to pet her and give her treats. She lapped up the attention, feeling grateful for the community and the sense of belonging.

As she walked home, Daisy felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew she was exactly where she belonged – in the house of God, surrounded by friends.
