Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and will be proficient in using Sage and Pastel software. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and providing excellent support to our employees and clients regarding payroll-related queries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly/monthly basis using Sage and Pastel systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages, deductions, and bonuses.
- Maintain employee records, including personal information, tax status, and benefits enrolment.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support the yearly audit process by providing payroll reports and documentation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and tax regulations related to payroll.
- Process tax filings and related documents, including PAYE, UIF, and PAYE.
- Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
- Proficient in Sage and Pastel payroll software.
- Strong understanding of payroll procedures and related legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to work with large volumes of data.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources is preferred.
