We had the pleasure of welcoming Civil Engineering students from TUT SAICE Student Chapter for an immersive visit to our laboratories. The session provided them with a closer look at the practical side of civil engineering, where material testing, equipment calibration, and SANAS-accredited processes ensure that infrastructure is built on reliable and accurate data.

What made the visit particularly meaningful was the level of engagement from the students. They were actively involved throughout the demonstrations, asking thoughtful questions, participating in discussions, and showing genuine curiosity about how laboratory results translate into real-world engineering decisions. Their enthusiasm brought great energy into the space and reflected a strong commitment to learning beyond the classroom.

We appreciate the visit and hope it added meaningful context to their academic journey as future engineers shaping South Africa’s infrastructure.
