sychEd helps bridge this gap by offering practical therapy skills training (STREPCO) through the Helios Training Centre. This training enables individuals to register with organizations like CCSA or ASCHP and begin working legally as wellness counsellors. Flexible training options are offered:
• Part-Time (Weekends): Attend training sessions on weekends, allowing you to balance work commitments.
• Full-Time (2 Weeks): Dive into an intensive 2-week course. Training is primarily face-to-face, fostering community building. However, online options are also available. Carika Young, your STREPCO Educator, brings a wealth of experience to the table. With over 15 years in the education industry, she has dedicated eleven of those years to developing individuals from previously disadvantaged communities, particularly those with disabilities. Carika is actively involved in Higher Education, working with people from diverse backgrounds. Her impressive skill set includes being an Educator, Assessor, Moderator, Training Developer, Psychometrist, Counsellor, Life Coach, and Yoga Therapist. 🌟🎓🌿
