To restore electricity as quickly as possible, Bitou Municipality will replace the damaged cable. Due to underground water pipes and other services, the replacement cable will remain above ground until trenching can be completed on Monday.

⚠️ Residents are urged not to drive over, walk near, or tamper with the cable. Once energised, the cable will be live and poses a serious risk of electrocution.

Please keep children and members of the public away from the area.
