24/7 Security has a vacancy for a Security Contract Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION / KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Security Operations Management:
• Create a link between Group Security and sites
• Manage and supervise all security operations for the assigned sites
• Ensure effective security operational planning and ex*****on
• Act as a delegated management representative for the security service provider and make operational management decisions
• Drive the standardisation of site security operations
• Ensure that staff contingency plans are in place to ensure security operational continuity during events such as security industry/internal strikes, disruption of public transport, protests, natural disasters, etc.
• Establish sources of security operational intelligence
Risk Management:
• Ensure that baseline and continuous security risk assessments are conducted for all sites
• Ensure that security plans are developed to mitigate identified security risks
• Ensure that site security deployment is in line with the site risk profile
Route to Market (RTM) Operations:
• Provide support on RTM security interventions
• Assist with RTM security risk assessment and route planning
• Assist with follow up on reported RTM incidents
Security Contract Management:
• Ensure that site security service levels are consistently achieved and continuously improved
• Ensure that monthly SLA meetings are held for all sites and participate in such meetings
• Evaluate site security performance and ensure that deviations are corrected
People Management and Development:
• Manage, coach and develop site security managers
• Direct and guide site Security Managers
• Ensure that all security officers have relevant job descriptions in line with post-specific requirements
• Ensure that security officers are continuously trained
Security Administration:
• Ensure that site security reports are compiled and submitted to relevant recipients timeously
• Consolidate site security reports and submit to Group Security
• Draft site security procedures and processes in line with Group Security Policies and procedures
• Ensure that all the necessary security records are kept
Security Compliance:
• Drive the implementation of security policies, procedures and standards, and ensuring compliance
• Ensure compliance with the PSIRA Act, Fi****ms Control Act, POPI Act and other applicable legal requirements
• Support Group Security site security audits and ensure that audit findings are closed out timeously
Security Project Management:
• Propose security improvement projects
• Support and oversee the ex*****on of security objects
Security Incident and Emergency Management/Response:
• Ensure that all security incidents are reported and managed properly
• Ensure that security incidents are recorded, analysed, followed up and closed-out timeously
• Ensure that each site has an up to date security emergency response plan
• Direct and guide site security emergency response actions
• Respond to site violent situations such as employee strikes and civil protests and provide on the ground planning, coordination and response.
• Liaise with law enforcement authorities and other relevant industry stakeholders during security crises situations
• Assist with the investigation of criminal activities and employee threats during strikes
Security Investigations:
• Ensure that site security incidents are investigated
• Follow up on police criminal investigations for Tiger Brands criminal cases
• Support internal security investigations conducted by Internal Audit and Risk with the collection and reviewing of evidence, compiling statements and providing testimony in disciplinary hearings or criminal proceedings.
Stakeholder Management/Engagement:
• Hold regular meetings with internal stakeholders to discuss security service delivery
• Respond to client security requests and complaints
• Establish working relationships with external stakeholders such as the police, other organisations, fellow security managers and other industry key stakeholders
• Participate in security forums and other relevant structures
Financial Management:
• Ensure that submitted security invoices are accurate in line with the security services rendered
• Continuous review of site security costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• PSIRA registered Grade A security training
• Formal academic security management certificate
• General management qualification as an added advantage
• Minimum five (5) years security operations management experience
• Proven track record as a Security Contract Manager managing multiple sites
• Experience in implementing and enforcing compliance with security policies and procedures
• Security investigation experience
