Suspect in KZN Police Officer Stabbing Dies in Jail Hours After Arrest 😔⚰️

In a shocking turn of events, the man accused of stabbing a police officer to death has himself died in jail.

The incident unfolded when the suspect was allegedly assaulting his wife, who phoned the police for help. Upon arrival, the man initially spoke calmly with the officers before going inside the house.

He then emerged armed with a knife and viciously stabbed a 41-year-old constable.

The officer was rushed to hospital but tragically passed away from his injuries.

The second officer was allegedly pushed into a pit (umgodi) by the fleeing suspect.

The man reportedly returned home later, where tracking officers arrested him after a brief conversation. He was due to appear in court soon.

In a shocking incident in Matlelerekeng, Limpopo, a man left his home driving his cattle to the grazing fields. When he did not return, his family became worried and called the police.

Two police officers responded and were informed that the man of the house was missing. It emerged that the missing man had been threatened by another local man the previous day.

The police, together with community members, went to the suspect’s house on foot. Upon arrival, they found the suspect had just killed his neighbour and was apparently preparing to dispose of the body.

The police arrested the suspect and placed him in the police van. However, the community allegedly attacked the van, demanding that the suspect be released to them. They damaged the van (breaking the canopy) and overpowered the two officers.

The community then allegedly dragged the suspect out and killed him in front of the police.

Police are now appealing to anyone who knows the names of the people who damaged the police van and killed the suspect to come forward and provide
information to the investigating officer on 071 481 4269.

💔 TRAGIC LOSS: Bonita Plaatjies Killed by Boyfriend in Kraaifontein

Bonita Plaatjies was allegedly assaulted by her boyfriend over the weekend and tragically passed away in Ndleleni Street, Kraaifontein.

The suspect has been arrested and is expected to appear in court today.

This latest incident adds to the painful reality of gender-based violence in our communities.
