Diesel Mechanic in Hermanus

Are you a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic looking for a new opportunity in the beautiful coastal town of Hermanus?
We are currently seeking a Semi-skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Location: Hermanus
Minimum Qualification: Semi-skilled
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
* Perform major and minor servicing on a variety of diesel vehicles.
* Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to accurately identify worn and damaged parts requiring replacement.
* Execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal vehicle performance and longevity.
* Install component and part upgrades as needed.
* Implement measures to control and prevent corrosion on vehicles.
* Efficiently correct vehicle deficiencies through expert removal, repair, adjustment, overhaul, assembly, disassembly, and replacement of major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
* Maintain a professional vehicle appearance through cleaning, washing, and painting.
* Ensure the smooth operation of shop equipment by adhering to operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining necessary supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and arranging for repairs when required.
* Proactively manage supplies by regularly inventorying stock and verifying the receipt of new materials.
* Undertake the repair and maintenance of hydraulic systems, including hydraulic valves and cylinders.
* Perform the removal of gearboxes, clutch replacements, and other significant repairs.
Desired Skills:
* Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
* Strong understanding and practical experience with hydraulic systems.
* Proficiency in gearbox removal, clutch replacement, and major repairs.
