This geyser isolator has been mounted making use of a wall spacer. The wall spacer has an opening at the back of it and therefore fails the standard test finger test. The isolator has also not been secured to the wall spacer. The geyser white cable is also too close to the hot water pipe.

In this case the conduit to the junction box adapter was not glued in so it has now come undone. There is no cover plate and one can also see that the earth wires have been twisted together and not secured by means of a ferrule.

This 230V downlight has been covered with insulation that has been installed in the roof. The insulation does not allow the heat generated by the LED or halogen globe to escape. This causes the wires to overheat and in some cases melt.
