🌍 IJKA Continental Cup 2026 — Purpose 🇯🇵

The Continental Cup and its related events to be held in Japan represent an important milestone for IJKA.

This event in Japan also carries forward the vision of our founder, Kato Sadashige Shihan, by realizing an international IJKA event in Japan.

Through this tournament and the seminars, we are asking an important question:
what have we inherited, and what should we continue to build for the future?

The seminars will help establish a foundation for sharing Japanese technical methods, teaching approaches, and spirit, while also working toward unified competition rules and judging standards across IJKA.

At the Continental Cup, selected representatives from each continent will gather and take the first real step in applying those shared standards.

The exchange program will also give members the opportunity to spend time together, share experiences, and deepen their bond as one IJKA family.

This is a foundational stage toward future world championships and an important starting point for the future development of IJKA.
