A Sanskrit poem to start the week with.
Look to this day,
for it is life, the very breath of life.
In its brief course lie
all the realities of your existence;
the bliss of growth,
the glory of action,
the splendor of beauty.
For yesterday is only a dream,
and tomorrow is but a vision.
But today, well lived,
makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
and every tomorrow
a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.

This poem reminds us that the past and the future dwell only in our minds, and in truth, all that we ever experience is this present moment.

We are the only beings on our planet who lead such rich internal lives, that it's not only the events that matter most to us, but rather, it's how we interpret those events that will determine how we think about ourselves and how we will act in the future.

What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our capability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are.
