⚠️COMMUNITY LIVING IN FEAR FOLLOWING ANOTHER SHOOTING INCIDENT IN BROOKDALE, PHOENIX

Residents of Brookdale, Phoenix, are once again living in fear following another shooting incident which occurred in the Coralbrook area on Monday.

KZN VIP Security Response Teams were dispatched after receiving multiple reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, members conducted a thorough assessment and located multiple spent cartridges scattered across the scene.

It is alleged that known individuals from the area, accompanied by armed associates, opened fire using high-calibre fi****ms towards other community members and vehicles. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported at this stage; however, the incident has left residents concerned for their safety and security.

Community members have expressed growing frustration as similar incidents continue to occur, placing innocent residents at risk and creating an atmosphere of fear within the neighbourhood.

SAPS were notified and investigations into the incident are currently underway. No arrests have been made at this stage.

KZN VIP urges anyone with information that may assist investigators to contact SAPS or reach out to KZN VIP confidentially. The circumstances leading up to the shooting cannot be confirmed at this time.
