Fortunately, clay is 100% reusable before it's fired, so the prototyping process is virtually free.

The wall elements above, designed by for her Masters thesis, serve as a good example of the feedback a designer can expect when optimizing a 3D model for printing.

Finally, after implementing all our small design change requests like "leave a gap here" or "make this red overhang smaller" or "add a wing her for stability," we settled on a design and could successfully print 7 blocks in one day.
