Most of us treat every thought as a fact about who we are.
A worry becomes proof we are anxious.
A doubt becomes proof we are not enough.
But a thought is a function. It rises, it passes, and it was never the self underneath it.
When you stop identifying with the noise, something quieter becomes available. Not a better version of you. Just you, without the story.

Most of us are walking around answering to a version of ourselves we built years ago.
The one that learned what got approval and what didn’t. The one that turned pain into personality because it was easier than sitting with it. The one that calls certain things acceptance when really it’s just tolerance we stopped questioning.
These questions aren’t meant to be answered quickly. Sit with them. Let them sit with you. The discomfort you feel reading one of these is usually pointing exactly where you need to look.

So much of seeking approval is really about bolstering your sense of identity.
It's a pattern, and most people do it without ever questioning it.
Integrative coaching is about getting curious instead. Why does this even happen? What is it really about?
When you become aware of that pattern, something shifts.
And then the real question becomes, what happens if you stop seeking approval altogether? What comes up if you don't get that positive feedback you're used to chasing?
That's often where the real work begins.
