🇿🇦❤️ LITTLE HELPERS DAY – MANDELA DAY ❤️🇿🇦

This Mandela Day, First Steps Daycare is inviting our families, friends, and the wider community to partner with us as we show our little learners that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.

Together, we'll be creating Overnight Packs of Love for babies placed in safety care and Jars of Hope for families in need. Every donation, no matter how small, will help spread hope, dignity, and compassion.

❤️ How can you help?

🎒1. Donate towards our Packs of Love
We're collecting:
👶 Nappies (all sizes)
👕 Pre-loved baby clothing (Tiny Baby – 6–12 months)
🍼 Baby bottles
🧴 Toiletries (powder, bum cream, body wash, lotion)
🛏️ Baby blankets and towels

🫙 2. Donate towards our Jars of Hope
Each Jar of Hope includes:
🍚 1 cup Rice
🧡 1 cup Lentils
🥣 1 packet Soup Powder
🌾 1 cup Pearled Barley OR 1 cup Split Peas OR 1 cup Soup Mix
🧂 1 unwrapped Stock Cube

We also welcome donations of:
☕ Clean, empty coffee/mayonnaise jars
🛍️ Large kraft paper bags

Every item donated helps us show our children that kindness is more than just a word—it's something we can live every day.

If you would like to support this initiative, donations can be dropped off at First Steps Daycare before or on Friday, 17 July.

Together, let's celebrate Mandela Day by filling hearts with hope and showing that little hands really can make a BIG difference. ❤️🇿🇦

What an amazing first week filled with laughter, creativity, learning, friendship, and so much fun! 💙

From Winter Wonderland, Pyjama & Movie Day, and Library Adventure Day to Superhero Training and Little Bakers Day, our little learners enjoyed a week filled with laughter, creativity, friendship, discovery, and unforgettable memories.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful families for your continued support and to our amazing team for making every day so special.

Bring on Week 2—we can't wait for more fun, learning, and adventure! 🌈💙
