Sunrise Animal Rescue

m outside of Cape Town centre. Although a large proportion of this community keep animals, there are no low cost veterinary services available to them. Our aim at Sunrise Animal Rescue is to help this community become responsible pet owners by offering financial, logistical, and educational support. We do this by identifying potentially “at risk” animals, transporting these animals to a veterinarian where they are treated and sterilised, and returning them to their owners. We strive to educate each community member we support on aspects of pet ownership relating to pet sterilisation, nutrition, tick and flea treatment, and general pet health. Additionally, should an animal be found abandoned and neglected or without a home, we strive to rehabilitate, sterilise, and re-home as many as we can, within and beyond Witsand.
