HEAD CHEF – ICONIC WINE ESTATE (FRANSCHHOEK)

Overview:

We have a dynamic opportunity for an experienced HEAD CHEF a well-known and established Wine Estate located in the Franschhoek Wine region.

The estate is renowned for its upmarket restaurant and tasting room, picnics, wedding and event facilities, to mention a few.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years previous experience as a Head Chef, with a great passion for the industry, ability to create innovative menus, up to date with culinary trends and ability to lead and manage a profitable kitchen operation effectively. We are looking for a candidate with a solid track record.

Key Objective:
Responsible for the development and maintenance of all standards, policies, and procedures relating to food across all outlets, with a strong emphasis on staff training and development, guest satisfaction, product quality and profitability.

Key Position Requirements

• A formal qualification in Professional Cookery
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in a Head Chef Position
• Matric Certificate
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
• Applicants already residing in the Winelands Region will receive preference
