đ ..."THE TRUTH IS IN JESUS" [Ephesians 4:21].
đ¤I have noticed in my dealing with people that when it comes to things that are important to them they go to someone who has information for the help they need.
đ¤If they have car trouble they go to a mechanic.
đ¤If they have financial needs they go to a bank.
đ¤If for legal problems they seek out a lawyer.
đ¤YET when it comes to a person's relationship with GOD & the truths contained in the Bible, i have yet to meet a person who is not an authority.
Everyone you meet knows HOW to be saved they know WHAT it takes to go to heaven & they know WHO gets to go. They know HOW "to live right" & know who is a hypocrite. đąOh how quick they will tell you what they "think" & tell you "i believe" & they feel they must give you their opinion about the Bible, about God, about Christ, about Sin & how a sinner is saved.
đŁď¸When GOD calls a man to preach, HE teaches him the gospel of Grace, makes him a student of the Holy Scriptures, & gives him knowledge, wisdom & understanding of the ways of God & sinful man.
âď¸But do men seek out someone who can deal with their souls from the Bibleâ
đą NO! They will seek out help on the things that are temporal & of no eternal consequence đąbut when it comes to their souls they feel they are as much an authority as anyone else. They are too proud; they love themselves too much to see their need of guidance.
They aren't like the Ethiopian who when asked "Understand what you are reading?" His reply, "How can i EXCEPT some man guide me?" [Acts 8:30-31].
They don't know that THE TRUTH is a revelationâď¸and UNLESS God gives men eyes to see, they are so blind they can't even see that they are blind [Jn.9:39-40].
IF men won't seek truth - - i will.
IF men feel that they know all they need to know about God & how HE saves sinners, & are confident that they "will go to heaven when they die" then so be it.
âď¸As for me, i will by God's grace seek the
đ "excellency of the Knowledge of Christ Jesus my LORD; that i may win Christ & be found IN HIM; not having my own righteousness, BUT the righteousness of God which is through FAITH in Christ" [Phil.3:9].
Let men claim to know what they will, i want to know Christ, i want to
đ "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God IN CHRIST JESUS" [Phil.3:8].
âşď¸May GOD teach me & you the "TRUTH" as it is in Christ Jesus [Ephesians 4:21].

đ[Romans 15:13]
đ¤Is there any joy & peace for us as the children of God in the worldâThere are moments of joy & moments of peace in this world,âď¸but the reality of earthly joy & peace is this - - - THEY WILL NOT LAST. They are only for a moment.âď¸BUT the joy & peace that comes in believing through the power of the Holy Ghost is that which comes from a true saving view of Jesus Christ & Him crucified. This is joy & peace that will last forever & even as Jesus Christ is "the same yesterday, today, & forever". While on this earth, it is most difficult for any of us to know that such joy & peace really exist. That is why it can only be known in believing. So we who are saved by God's grace IN CHRIST walk by faith, believing God's testimony of Christ, not by sight.
Even as sinners saved by grace & true believers, while in this world we are subject to much trouble, pain & sorrow. Unlike the false preachers of the false "health & wealth gospel", our LORD Jesus was honest with us. HE SAID, "in the world you shall have tribulation"
[Jn.16:33].
đ¤ Where then is joy & peace of which HE speaksâIt is not in the experience of the flesh & in this world. IT IS "IN BELIEVING", & this believing is NOT merely believe something or anything. It is NOT wishful thinking, or even the "power of positive thinking".âď¸It is, by the grace & power of God, believing God's Word beginning with His Word of salvation by HIS grace in & by the LORD Jesus ChristâWhen Christ told HIS disciples of the trouble they would have in this world, HE concluded with this - -
đ "but be of good cheer, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD".
âď¸Our hope & joy is NOT in our power or ability to win the victory over sin (the flesh), Satan, or the world.
âď¸Our hope & joy is Christ's power & ability - -
đ "for I know whom i have believed, & am persuaded that HE is able to keep that which i have committed unto Him against that day"
[2Tim.1:12].
These words of inspiration encourage my weary heart. The gospel of God IN CHRIST is so designed to give God all the glory for the salvation of sinners.âď¸But thank God, it is also designed to give to broken, sinful & weary sinners joy & peace through the gospel [Romans 5:1].
đ¤Notice this also, it is "joy & peace in believing", NOT working, NOT sacraments, NOT ceremony & the traditions of men,âď¸but by simple faith in the LORD Jesus Christ, that we may abound in hope [Hebrews 11:6].
The LORD Jesus Christ is the whole believer's hope before GOD & men. This is constantly brought into our heart & thoughts through the power of the Holy Spirit, who shall take the things of Christ & reveal them unto us,
đ "Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: & HE will shew you things to come. HE shall glorify Me: for HE shall receive of mine, & shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that HE shall take of mine, & shall shew it unto you" [Jn.16:13-15].
THE KINGDOM OF GOD NOW
Christâs Reign
The Kingdom of God is described as the rule of God through our Lord Jesus Christ over all things. The purpose of this reign on earth is to defeat Godâs enemies such as Satan, sin, and death, and this implies the destruction of those associated with them.
1 Cor. 15:22 ---- Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 1 Cor. 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. This victory is accomplished in at least two stages, (The first coming of Christ, and at the second coming of our Lord).
1 Thess. 4 &5 supports the view that the ominous wrath of God upon wicked men follows the rapture; that the rapture, the second coming, and the resurrection are essentially the same event.
The Kingdom comes in two stages: (1) at our Lordâs first coming and (2) at our
Lordâs second coming; a sort of first fruits v. the full harvest; a deposit of kingdom blessings, and the full inheritance at His Parousia (appearing).
Satanâs defeat also occurs in two stages; at Christâs first coming, and at His Parousia. Nowhere in the New Testament can we find a concept of the whole concept of a millennial reign. Sadly Rev. 20: 1-3 is misinterpreted by many (basing their concept on this single passage, blind to the symbolism involved).
Christ is the first fruits of the Age to Come. In Christâs resurrection we see the resurrected Son as the first fruits of a harvest to come ---- Christian Assurance:
âBecause I live, ye shall live alsoâ (John 14:19). Philippians 3:10 and Ephesians 2:5: these verses speaks of a spiritual resurrection, realized eschatology First, death was defeated legally at Jesusâs resurrection. Secondly, death will be defeated corporally at Christâs Parousia. Then comes the end (1 Corinthians 15:24; Revelation 20:10, 14).
Since death comes because of sin, sin must be defeated.
Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin
might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Not only is sinâs penalty paid, but its power is broken. Sin is shattered by virtue of the believerâs âjustification,â âregeneration,â and âidentification.â When a man believes, God counts the man righteous and treats him as such (justification). Once justified, the sinner is regenerated by the Spirit of God (born again); and, simultaneously baptized (transferred judicially or placed) into the victorious Kindom of Christ
(Romans 4, 5-6) ---- the judicial nature of the cross and oneâs change in status the sinner is then empowered to âsay NO to sinâ and âto keep Godâs lawâ (Romans 6:11-14; 8:4).
Satan is Defeated
Is Satan bound? Yes with respect to those in Christ. Satanâs defeat is accomplished in two stages: 1) at the cross and 2) at our Lordâs Parousia. Judicially, Jesus âcast outâ Satan at the cross; Satan experienced his judicial defeat at the cross, and will be sentenced at the Parousia of Christ. Our Lord Christ broke the power of Satan over the elect ---- over âGodâs childrenâ.
John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out (ekballo). Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound (edasen) him a thousand years.
Hebrews 2:14 For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy (katergeo) him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Therefore, men and women may experience the blessings of the Kingdom of God now in this present evil age, deliverance from sin, Satan, and the fear of death. While we do not enjoy the fullness of kingdom blessings, we do enjoy the first fruits of power, eternal life, and redemption.
The Kingdom of God has entered history and men have âhave tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to comeâ (Hebrews 6:2-5).
The Kingdom is more than a promise. The Kingdom of God is here NOW delivering men from the powers of darkness and the power of evil.
Galatians 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this age.
There is an overlap of the Age to Come with This Age.
Definition of the Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom of God is the dynamic invasion of the rule of God into human history through the redemptive reign of Christ, the purpose of which is to deliver men and women out from under the tyranny of Satan, sin, and death and to bring them under the blessings of Godâs reign. It involves two great moments: fulfillment within history, and consummation at the end of history.
Since the Kingdom of God is about the rule of God, why arenât more preachers preaching the Rule of God and the need of men to surrender to His law-order?
