My heart pounded as I walked toward the grand hall where the ceremony was to take place.
"Amelia, you have to act," I whispered to myself, trying to muster the courage. "Come on, DO IT! STOP THE WEDDING!"
I slipped inside quietly, trying to blend in with the crowd. The ceremony was just starting, and I saw Richard standing at the altar, looking handsome and nervous. Vanessa stood beside him, radiant in her wedding dress. She smiled. God, I hated it.
Suddenly, Vanessa's mother burst in from the side and began whispering something in her ear. Vanessa looked surprised and annoyed but decided to continue the ceremony.
"What the hell?" I thought, my pulse quickening. Something felt off.
Just as Vanessa was about to say, "I do," her mother raised a fuss.
"STOP!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the hall. "YOU CAN'T MARRY HIM!"

So there I was, at the altar on my wedding day, totally unaware of the chaos about to unfold. Just as I was wrapping up my vows, I noticed a ripple of whispers in the crowd.
Turning, I saw five women in wedding dresses striding toward us. My groom Fred went pale like he'd seen a ghost — and he clearly knew all of them.
They came right up to us, and one of them, with this smirk on her face, said, "I'm Margaret. Fred here knows me very well." She shot him a wink.
