The Prince and Princess of Wales are reportedly paying around $577,000 (£413,000) a year to rent their new Windsor residence, which the couple moved into with their children at the end of 2025. The 20-year lease is said to reflect the couple’s long-term plans for the property — a home they reportedly intend to keep even after William eventually becomes king.

The reported rent is notably higher than that paid by the previous tenant, and marks a move away from the low-cost royal lease arrangements often associated with other members of the royal family.
