One final push before the biggest adventure of our lives... ❤️
With our baby's due date only weeks away, we raced to get some of the biggest, heaviest jobs on our 500-year-old cottage finished. There were giant holes, tonnes of concrete, a failed project we had to abandon, and a lot of muddy graft with some brilliant friends.
I'm also playing a little bit of catch-up with these reels after Bonnie arrived 🥹, so thanks for sticking with us while life got wonderfully hectic!
If you'd like to see the full story, the complete film is now live on YouTube: "We Were Running Out Of Time"
I genuinely can't wait for you to see the next episode... it contains some of the highest highs and lowest lows of our entire renovation.
Things still aren’t going to plan.
We’re digging soakaways to try and deal with the water around our 500 year old cottage… while also finishing floors, opening up for a new staircase, and attempting to learn how to use a digger.
It doesn’t all go smoothly.
Amber ends up behind the controls,
Muddy turns a completely different colour,
and my brain is… fairly full.
It’s a lot — but it’s ours.

This old cast iron Aga has been sitting here, rusting away for years…
So this week, we finally took it apart — piece by piece — and hauled it off to the scrap metal merchants to see what it’s actually worth.
Turns out… it’s not just a heavy lump of metal.
If you want to see how this fits into the full renovation (and everything else going on), the main film is now up on YouTube
