Yesterday …. standing among incredible leaders on the final day of the South Pacific Tourism Exchange, I’m deeply grateful to serve as Miss Pacific Islands 2026 and the Pacific’s Tourism Ambassador, sharing our stories, our culture, and the spirit of our islands with the world.

SPTE 2026 has shown the true power of our region, when we come together, we create opportunities, strengthen connections, and uplift the Pacific voice globally.

And to mark this beautiful milestone on my birthday made it even more meaningful… a moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed purpose. Grateful to our Heavenly Father for all the blessings and the opportunity to serve, inspire and be inspired, and all whilst proudly carrying the Pacific with me wherever I go.

Reigning Miss Pacific Islands 2026 Ailava Samuels is proudly flying the Pacific flag as our Tourism Ambassador at the South Pacific Tourism Exchange 2026 in Nadi.

This evening, Ailava will deliver a powerful poem titled “Guardians of the Pacific”, a moving tribute to our people, our oceans, and the legacy we carry forward.

Hosted at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, this year’s theme, “Tourism that Connects: Culture, Climate, Community”, is all about who we are as Pacific people… vibrant, resilient, and deeply connected to our islands and each other.
And it gets even better!

Women in Business are being celebrated at the event with inspiring entrepreneurs from across the region bringing their creativity, passion, and stories to life.
Because when Pacific women rise, we ALL rise.
