If you crave quiet time, local life in the mountains with breathtaking views, and the opportunity to escape the crowds of hundreds of other tourists. We have a gem to share with you. Hang Kia Pà Cò - Around 3.5 hours from Hanoi.
There are a few homestays here to choose from, and we were fortunate enough to sleep in a low-profile, almost anonymous one with 2 freestanding rooms on a hillside. One room with 2 beds and one with a large bed and balcony, both with clean, modern bathrooms, all surrounded by trees, plants, and nature.
The village is known for making and dyeing h**p cloth with locally grown indigo plants. and you can pick up some great deals from the H'mong women on handmade, batik-decorated cloth creations ( we put a video link in the comments if you want to learn more about this process).
Paved trails wind through the steep mountains, affording spectacular views and a glimpse into local life if you're up for renting a motorbike. You can also hire a local guide to show you around and take you to some villages and viewpoints that are hard to find and challenging to reach on your own. There is a weekly, colorful market every Sunday, so that is a bonus for weekend visits.
We can arrange transportation to get there and assist with any arrangements that you would like for your stay.
