lá rụng về cội | fallen leaves always return to their roots

the quote, “lá rụng về cội,” is a quote my mom would often tell me. i was born in america yet i was always curious about life in vietnam. and the older i get, the more i yearn for my motherland. the more i want to explore, learn, and understand.

two years ago, i shot this campaign in hopes of returning to vietnam and doing a tour with .space; i wanted to show the world vietnam through my lens, opening up my heart and sharing my soul. the following year i got to do so by working with and showcasing the mekong river delta in their “best in travel” series.

i hope i can continue to encourage and inspire more people to go back to their motherland, explore and learn more about their culture and heritage. it’s a privilege and a blessing and i’m so grateful to have this platform.

off topic — i just finished watching “pursuit of jade” and am extremely in my feels right now.
