Relaunch in Chaguaramas.

After storing Kweli for 6 months on the hard standing here in Trinidad, while the hurricane season ran its course, we returned from Europe and got busy preparing Kweli for the coming sailing season.

This involved installing all the rigging and sails, performing a good detailed polish, and applying two new coats of anti foul paint, and a myriad of other jobs.

Then it was our turn to be hoisted on the travel-lift and ceremoniously carried to the launch dock.

Here are some photos of the relaunch:

Twelve days in Chaguaramas then it was our turn for haul out and storage ashore.

At 09.15 this morning (28 May) we lined up in the dock and waited for the previous boat to be parked. At 10.45 the straps were installed and we were up and on the way to the parking.

That’s a wrap for this season.!
We left Gosport UK on the 31 May 2024 so we’ve sailed for a year, and covered 5,352 nautical miles. Visited exciting places and experienced some awesome weather conditions and met lots of likeminded people out there.
Now we prepare Kweli for long term storage before returning to Europe..
